Ways to Help

There are many ways you can help this important effort:

  • Volunteer at one of our F.R.E.S.H. Gardens (planting, weeding, harvesting, etc.)
  • Help with our booth at the Farmers & Markets
  • Become a member of our Executive Board
  • Demonstrate cooking at the Farmers Markets or classes
  • Share the work of the F.R.E.S.H. Project with Community Groups
  • Host a presentation by the F.R.E.S.H. Project, to share the local need and the Project’s work with your community organization, church, business, or other local group.
  • Learn more about food insecurity and hunger in our community and beyond.
  • Talk to your local elected official about the need to support efforts addressing food insecurity in our communities.
  • Make a donation to the F.R.E.S.H. Project and its efforts.
  • Consider ways your community organization, church, business, or other local group can address local food needs, such as hosting a site for the “Share the Bounty” program, purchasing food from local farmers, or volunteering with organizations like food pantries that address emergency needs.
  • Shop for your fresh food at a local farmers market and support local farmers.
  • The F.R.E.S.H. Project collaborates with local food pantries and other resource venues, working together to provide good food for everyone.  The F.R.E.S.H. Project currently has 15 Share the Bounty sites and providing fresh produce from our six garden sites.
