F.R.E.S.H. Gardens
“The produce we receive from the gardens for our food pantry guests is truly beautiful and plentiful for all to enjoy. Project and their volunteers who work in the beautiful gardens!”
Since 2017, we planted and harvested more than 30,000 pounds throughout our eight gardens, serving our community with fresh food and education. Currently, the F.R.E.S.H. Project has two gardens in Red River and all produce harvested supported our communities through the Share the Bounty tables, local food pantries, and shelters.

A Hunger Prevention Project Program that runs June through October
The F.R.E.S.H. Project’s Share the Bounty tables shared more than 30,000 pounds of produce since 2017! Produce harvested from our eight gardens and area gardeners donated home-grown fruits and vegetables to share within the community. Gardeners brought their produce to drop-off sites in Shawano County where it was then distributed to those who can use it. We are so grateful to all the gardeners who Grew an Extra Row – and donated to the Share the Bounty tables.
If you are interested in donating your extra produce in the 2025 growing season, it really is a simple program. All varieties of fruits and vegetables are accepted in quantities both large and small. Produce should be reasonably clean. This is a “win-win” situation because gardeners’ produce will not go to waste and recipients get healthy food at no cost.
